Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Most workswhops are beginner to imtermediate levels. Morning workshops are for knitters only. Crocheters are welcome for both afternoon workshops.
Materials Included: Various materials will be provided as required.
Requirements: You MUST know how to knit and/or crochet, including casting on, knit, purl, single and double crochet. Thursday evening - Bring a pen & paper for notes and a garment you have created. FRIDAY & SATURDAY mornings - A work-in-progress (WIP) or finished project for show and tell (the desire to be admired is not required but is reccommended). *Minimum of three (3) yarns to work with, we love to experiment with finer weights like lace and fingering and fiber contents to be combined into a heavier weight. More yarns can be added during class. Please choose a color palette when bringing your stash to make it cohesive. An UNUSUAL element, like wire or cassette tape or any contiguous strand to use as "art fiber" in your creation is highly recommended. Yarns should be chosen and wound prior to class so we can begin immediately. **Also, include a skein of SMOOTH, WORSTED weight yarn and needles/hooks to match for experimenting and swatching techniques. A variety of needle/hook sizes will be needed, so, bring a good selection (we recommend and interchangeable set), even a crochet hook or two for the knitters. *** A notebook or design sketchbook to keep notes. **** Preferred notions, including stitch markers, tapestry needle, tape measure, handi tool, and scissors. FRIDAY & SATURDAY AFTERNOONS - Pen, paper, scissors. *Five to seven (5-7) yarns in a variety of colors, including a fingering weight and a lace weight, each in different fibers like mohair and silk to be combimed into a heavier weight. NOTE: Choose a cohesive color palette when bringin your stash but include one color you wouldn't normally use. More yarns can be added during class. Yarns should be chosen and WOUND prior to class so we can begin immediately. ** A variety of needle sizes from US 6 to US 15 will be needed, so bring a good selection (we recommend and interchangeable set). ***Preferred notions include stitch markers, tapestry needle, handi tool, tape measure and scissors. **** A work in progress (WIP) or finished project for show and tell.

About Us

Our intention is to create a welcoming place for people to come and enjoy themselves, immerse their hands in wonderful, rich fibers, and their minds in ideas. Together, we can create a community of needlecrafters, a destination for knitters, crocheters (and yes, needle pointers) to have fun, learn, conquer, and explore in a relaxed environment.
